Great news! We are to support Nada Surf at their concerts in Utrecht (Tivoli) and Brussels (Botanique) on April 18th and April 19th. By the way, did you already know dat Matthew Caws, Nada Surf’s singer, will also appear on one of the songs of our forthcoming album “Sunday Kids”?

Het album is volledig klaar. We waren de eerste weken van November in Bristol in de Toybox Studios om er samen met producer en mixer John Parish het album af te werken. En we mogen jullie nu al verklappen dat het een schitterend album gaat zijn! Het zal in de winkels liggen in het voorjaar van 2010 (Munich Records). We houden je via deze site zeker op de hoogte.

Our new album “Sunday Kids” is ready! The first weeks of November we were in Bristol at the Toybox Studios to finish of the record with producer/mixer John Parish. He did a very good job, and we can say the album sounds amazing! It will be released on Munich Records in the spring of 2010. Keep an eye on this site for more news and previews!

De opnames zijn bijna achter de rug. De drums, bassen, gitaren, piano’s en stemmen staan er op. Volgende week nemen we nog strijkers en blazers op. De week erop komen nog enkele gastzangers hun bijdrages inzingen, en daarna vertrekken we richting Bristol (UK) om te gaan mixen. Dit is de studio waar we twee weken zullen verblijven : Toybox Studios . Artiesten die er eerder werkten en opnamen zijn o.a. Giant Sand, PJ Harvey, John Parish, The Kills, Future Of The Left, McLusky, Scout Nibblet en vele anderen. Het is een super gezellige analoge studio volgepropt met top materiaal (oa eenTrident mengpaneel, familie van onze kleine Toft mixer in de studio!).Meer info over de plaat, de mix en wie wat allemaal zal doen zeer binnenkort!

The recording of our new album is almost done. Drums, basses, guitars, pianos and vocals are recorded. Next weeks we will be recording a string quartet and some horns. There will also be some guest vocalists present in the studio in the next weeks. In November we’re going to Bristol (UK) to mix. This is the studio we will be working in: Toybox Studios . Artists who have recorded there include, amongst others: Giant Sand, PJ Harvey, John Parish, The Kills, Future Of The Left, McLusky, Scout Nibblet … It’s a super cool and cosy studio packed with great vintage analog gear such as a Trident mixer (the big brother of our own Toft ATB mixer at the Acid Avenue Studio). Het is vandaag (16/9/2009) exact een jaar geleden dat onze debuut cd Acid Avenue in de winkels kwam te liggen. Feeststemming hier in ons hoofdkwartier in Voorde, waar het kaarsje wordt uitgeblazen, taart wordt veroberd en appelbeignets worden geserveerd! Mmmm. Hoera! In het voorjaar van 2010 komt de opvolger Sunday Kids, en het belooft een schitterende cd te worden, met heel wat extra’s.
